Once known for some of the finest wooden shipbuilding yards in the country, the East End is one of Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhoods. It is said that for decades riverboat captains set their watches by the St. Rose Church clock tower which stands on the bend of the river, its spire visible for miles in all directions.
In recent years, local builders have seen the potential for redevelopment of this eastside neighborhood which now offers some of Cincinnati’s most exciting newly constructed residences adjacent to Downtown. As evidence of support for further enhancement of the community, The City of Cincinnati has completed the final touches on its newest riverfront park, Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park, which provides a gateway to the East End from Downtown.
RiverWalk is a new community of up to fifty residences, commercial space and neighborhood convenience retail, to be built in two phases.
Phase One – Successfully opened for occupancy in July 2004. The twenty-eight residences in the six-story Phase One are a combination of eleven gallery-style lofts, twelve luxury units with custom upgraded amenities, and five penthouses with broad open terraces commanding exceptional river views overlooking LeBlond Park.
All residences offer generous size master bedrooms with large walk-in closets and dramatically styled master baths. Our penthouse units, Spyglass and Grandin (see floor plans) are a must-see for anyone who appreciates fine living. These five unique penthouses residences are truly the most exciting riverview residences in the city with expansive private terraces up to 1000 square feet, high ceilings up to ten feet, large windows, and a remarkable 180 degree view!
If you are looking for a change of pace, consider the loft residences in Phase I, which feel as though you are living in the Contemporary Arts Center...a place to display your masterpieces! Open flexible floor plans allow you to create the drama of your own personalized urban loft with a river view. There’s plenty of creative space for additional living, sleeping, studio, entertainment or work areas. Dramatic high ceilings, loads of light through oversized windows, and beautifully detailed designer kitchens are just a few of the many amenities these unique lofts offer.
All RiverWalk residences have enclosed, secure parking spaces with elevator, and direct, secure access to the building lobby. Individual parking spaces are assigned and deeded with each unit. Additional amenities include a fitness facility and a separate library/meeting area available for use by all twenty-eight residences in Phase I.
Phase II Townhomes – Construction will begin on the 21 townhomes of Phase II in 2008. This exciting addition will continue the “green” building considerations that benefited Phase I such as energy-saving windows, energy efficient lighting, recycling and other environmental benefits. Visit the Phase II page on our website for more information. Getting to RiverWalk is easy. We are located on the “high-side” of the riverfront on Riverside Drive (formerly Eastern Avenue) and Collins. Take Columbia Parkway or Delta to Riverside/Eastern Avenue. RiverWalk is 1.5 miles east of Montgomery Inn Boathouse, at Collins across from LeBlond Park.
